Marketing Talent Acquisition

Find the right marketing Employee for your business.

Our Approach

Hiring a marketing employee shouldn't feel like guesswork.

Hiring a marketing employee raises a lot of questions. What skills do you actually need? Should you hire a coordinator, manager, or strategist? How do you know if someone’s portfolio reflects real ability?

Heritage brings experienced marketing leadership to every step, helping you make confident decisions before, during, and after the hire.

Define

Know what you need

Before recruiting begins, we help clarify your business goals, define the role, and establish what success looks like.

Determine

choose the right hire

We recruit, screen, and evaluate candidates through the eyes of experienced marketers, helping you hire with confidence.

Develop

Build Long-Term Success

Through mentorship, strategic leadership, and ongoing guidance, we help your marketer continue growing long after they’re hired.

Define

Know what you need

Hiring the right marketing employee doesn’t begin with recruiting. It begins with understanding what your business actually needs.

Before a job description is written or candidates are evaluated, we work with you to define your business goals, marketing priorities, and the responsibilities the role should support. From there, we identify the skills the position requires and what success should look like.

Too often, businesses try to hire someone who can do everything. In reality, the right role depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. A business focused on lead generation may need someone very different than one focused on brand awareness, customer retention, or content creation.

When the role is built around strategy instead of assumptions, finding the right person becomes much easier.

01

Determine

Choose the right hire

Once the role is clearly defined, the search begins. We develop the job description, manage the recruiting process, screen applicants, and present a small group of qualified finalists for your consideration.

Because marketing is our profession, we evaluate candidates through the lens of experienced marketers. A résumé or portfolio can tell part of the story, but they don’t always reflect how someone thinks, solves problems, or contributes to a team. We know what questions to ask, what to look for, and how to evaluate candidates against the role your business actually needs to fill.

We also leverage our growing network of marketing professionals throughout the recruiting process, helping us reach qualified candidates who may never see a traditional job posting.

02

Develop

Build Long-Term Success

Finding and hiring the right marketing employee is only the beginning. Helping that person continue to grow is what creates lasting value.

Every profession benefits from mentorship, outside perspective, and continuing education. Marketing is no different. Through ongoing leadership, access to experienced marketers, and a community of peers, we help your employee continue building the skills, judgment, and confidence that make them more valuable to your business over time.

As your marketer grows, so does the value they bring to your organization.

Why Heritage?

Hiring Marketers Is Different.
So Are We.

Before we recruit a single candidate, we help define what success actually looks like. That strategic foundation shapes the role, clarifies expectations, and makes it much easier to identify the right person.

We don’t recruit for every profession. We recruit marketers. Our team evaluates candidates through the lens of experienced marketing leaders who understand the work, not just the résumé.

Hiring is only the beginning. Through mentorship, strategic guidance, and ongoing support, we help your marketing employee grow into the leader your business hired them to become.

We’re not recruiters who happen to place marketers.

We’re marketers who happen to recruit.

Smart Leaders ask tough questions

You Might Be Thinking...

Here are some of the most common questions we hear about Marketing talent acquisition, along with how we approach them.

Not always. Sometimes the right answer is hiring a marketing employee. Other times it’s partnering with an agency, adding a specialized contractor, or bringing in strategic leadership before making a hire. Our job is to help you make the decision that’s best for your business, even if recruiting isn’t part of the solution.

The title matters less than the role the position needs to play in your business. Before recruiting begins, we help define your goals, clarify responsibilities, and identify the skills that will have the greatest impact. That strategic foundation gives you a much better chance of hiring the right person.

Traditional recruiting firms are experts in recruiting. We’re experts in marketing.

That changes the conversation from the very beginning. Before we recruit a single candidate, we help define the role, clarify what success looks like, and bring an objective outside perspective to the hiring process. Once recruiting begins, we evaluate candidates through the lens of experienced marketing leaders who understand the work behind the résumé.

Our involvement doesn’t end when someone accepts an offer. Through ongoing mentorship, strategic guidance, and a community of fellow marketers, we help your employee continue growing long after they’re hired. The better marketer they become, the more value they bring to your business.

We specialize in entry-level and mid-level marketing positions, including coordinators, specialists, content creators, designers, digital marketers, communications professionals, and marketing managers. These are often the roles where businesses benefit most from combining thoughtful recruiting with ongoing marketing leadership and mentorship.

That depends on how important the hire is to your business.

Marketing employees influence your brand, your growth, and how customers experience your business. A great hire can create value for years. The wrong hire can cost far more than the salary alone.

Heritage helps you reduce the guesswork. We bring marketing expertise, external objectivity, and a structured process that gives you greater confidence that you’re making the right decision before extending an offer.

Yes. In fact, that’s where our work is just getting started.

We believe hiring the right marketer is only the beginning. Through ongoing mentorship, access to experienced marketing leaders, and a community of peers, we help your employee continue growing in their role while supporting your business with objective guidance and strategic leadership.

As your marketer grows, so does the value they bring to your organization.

The goal isn’t to fill the position quickly. It’s to fill it correctly.

If the initial candidate pool doesn’t align with what we’re looking for, we adjust. In many cases, we know within the first week whether the job description, messaging, compensation, or targeting needs to be refined.

Those adjustments are part of our process and don’t result in additional recruiting fees. We’d rather recognize the need to pivot early than waste your time reviewing candidates who aren’t the right fit.

Every engagement is built around your specific needs, but our process is intentionally structured in three parts.

The first investment is strategy, where we define the role, responsibilities, and skills your business actually needs. The scope of that work depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. You may need a comprehensive marketing strategy, or you may only need a focused content strategy. Those engagements carry different levels of investment.

Next comes recruiting, which combines a fixed recruiting fee with a success fee once your new employee has been in the role for 30 days.

Finally, if desired, we offer (and recommend) ongoing mentorship and marketing leadership to help your employee continue growing after they’re hired.

We’ve intentionally priced our recruiting services below what many traditional recruiting firms charge for comparable searches. That allows growing businesses to benefit from experienced marketing guidance and recruiting support for entry and mid-level marketing positions where a traditional recruiter may not always make financial sense.
